UberSearch project contains a set of mini web applications allowing user to search for a set of defined verticals e.g. Jobs, Cars, Properties, Products, Places, Images etc. The site is able to show relevant search results from external APIs depending on the search query, location, devices etc. Since calling external services might be slow, the design allows performance optimizations (e.g. caching API calls) to achieve high performance. The key of the project is a good logic and algorithm for deciding which verticals are the most relevant for an executed search query. Web applications of the project have been designed and implemented using modern web frameworks and libraries allowing high level of flexibility, maintenance and optimized performance. The project features the use of AngularJS for general frontend implementation and data binding, Bootstrap library with responsive design for flexible UI allowing easy support of different screen sizes and platforms, and Polymer Google Maps web components for smooth UX and rendering performance of interactive maps.
