Zain is a leading mobile and data services operator with a commercial footprint in 8 Middle Eastern and African countries with a workforce of over 7,000 providing a comprehensive range of mobile voice and data services to over 45.2 million active, individual and business customers, as on June 30, 2016. For our customer we created an intranet for his employees. In this project we met a lot of challenges. One of them was to integrate it with Human Resources software to fetch information about employees and their careers, wich can be searchable in the people directory section of the Intranet. The platform is also integrated with Active Directory which provides Single Sign On (SSO) feature. Thanks to this, a user has only one username and password which can be used to log into every service in the company. The data is synchronized automaticaly in period cycles between HR server and the Intranet, therefore new employees get an instant access to the Intranet. One of the feautre is displaying feeds from LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter and gather them in one place. There is also an advanced administration panel that allows to manage content, users, roles, videos, images, events, courses, podcasts, etc. Videos are integrated with the company’s YouTube channel so if some new video is posted in the Intranet, it will be automaticaly added to YouTube. Content management has also a workflow feature where new content must be first accepted by the publisher before deploying. One of the best features built around this intranet is integration with Company's Slack. You can send messages to other users and share articles. There is also an email notification system which helps users and administrators to keep abreast. The intranet part of the project is fully responsive and works on every device.
