SOLOSHOTedit is another version of the tool allowing for analysis and edition of videos created with the SOLOSHOT video cameras.
The SOLOSHOT cameras automatically follow users’ movement – they put on a band with a transmitter, and then the camera keeps following them, at the same time making sure they are always in the center of the frame. The video contains some meta data, which can be used to detect the most important events recorded in the clip. SOLOSHOTedit presents the effects of the analysis on two timelines – the first contains a full video, while the second one – only the most important parts. The place where the video was taken is displayed on a map as a path or points. Users may mark the interesting area to get filtered events.
The application has a lot of functionalities and is very easy to use. Apart from editing, users can save a composed film on a hard drive, and share it on SOLOSHOT service, as well as on YouTube or Facebook.
Thanks to the auto-update module, users have an instant access to the latest software version. SOLOSHOTedit is an multiplatform application, implemented with the Qt framework, and can be used on Windows and macOS. Multithreading makes the app work fast and smoothly. For communication among different parts of the system REST API was used.
