I come from Slovakia, where I also live with my family. I studied Computer Science at the VSB Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic with the speciality Computer Graphics and Software Engineering. I wanted to become software engineer since very young age – I got fascinated by computers. I learned to program in Pascal and Delpi. At the university we started with Java and later with C++, which I favored the most and is my passion since. I started to work parttime as developer in small company Linuxbox where I got introduced to Linux and that changed my career direction completely. Thanks to that experience I got into open-source movement: I spent two summers working as student developer in Google Summer Of Code program. There I was working within KDE community on open-source digital painting application Krita, where I contribute til now with varying intensity. I also worked as community sponsored developer on Krita for some time.
After university I started to work in Ixonos Slovakia working on office suite for Nokia mobile devices. Since then I worked on many interesting projects like embedded systems used in industry automation, navigation system for automotive industry, ticketing system for embedded device for national railway. My speciality is C++. I strive for best practices in software development and software design. I enjoy programming, so it is easy to enjoy my work!
In my free time I like to read books, I go running or mountain biking, play guitar, but most of the time I spent with my beautiful wife and lovely children.
