NYX | Introduction & Client’s Background
NYX Professional is a company rooted in Los Angeles that offers pro-level makeup products with expert formulas and high-grade pigments.
During their business expansion, they decided to go to Scandinavian markets with the support of a major cosmetics supplier within Eastern Europe, Everdea Polska.
They chose them due to their experience in the brand's strategic development.
The main goal?
To add another custom-built eCommerce website in the NYX Cosmetics domain – tailored to the Swedish market.
The project required back-end and front-end development, unique eCommerce features setup, and a mobile-responsive design.
All of this meant finding reliable IT partners capable of delivering all the necessary features on time.
Eventually, Everdea decided to partner with two companies for this project: a small Swedish startup specializing in custom eCommerce engines and Milo Solutions – in the role of a software provider.
Main tasks given to us by Everdea included:
- Features development – Enhanced multi-currency support implementation, address management, payment systems integration with i.e., PayPal or Klarna.
- User experience enhancement – Nyx wanted to have a seamless, mobile-friendly website that supported multiple languages and offered a dedicated management panel with simple CMS features and SEO settings.
- Bug fixing and upgrades – They also asked for an existing system upgrade to the latest versions, fix bugs, and add new functionalities.
- System Integration – This project additionally required integration of the site with WMS warehousing systems for efficient order and inventory management.

NYX | Research & Collaboration
Before diving into the development stage, our team conducted our traditional thorough research to understand the client's specific needs and the unique requirements of the Scandinavian market.
This involved close consultations with the founders of Everdea and a comprehensive analysis of their vision for the new NYX Cosmetics eCommerce website.
During the research phase, we identified key areas of interest, such as:
- Performance optimization,
- User-friendly design,
- Seamless integration with already existing systems.

To ensure efficient resource allocation, we assembled a dedicated team comprising front-end and back-end developers, UI/UX designers, and quality assurance specialists.
We meticulously planned our resources, setting clear milestones and deliverables for each phase of the project. Our agile approach allowed us to remain flexible, quickly addressing any emerging challenges and incorporating feedback from the client.
As always – research and planning phases turned out to be crucial during the whole project.
NYX | Design & Development
In developing the NYX Cosmetics Nordics platform, we prioritized user experience and interface design by focusing on product photo exposition, optimizing loading times, and ensuring image quality.
Ensuring mobile responsiveness was also a top priority; we adapted the layout to provide a seamless experience across all devices, supporting multiple languages to cater to a diverse user base.
On the development side, we utilized the powerful engine provided by the client, upgrading the system to the latest versions, fixing bugs, and adding new features.
After all, the new Nyx Cosmetics website had to be equipped with a dedicated management panel, simple CMS features, and SEO settings.

Biggest achievement of this project?
Quick WMS warehousing system integration.
Thanks to our previous experience with such solutions, the integration process went smoothly enough to save us both time, resources, and the client’s budget. This always comes in handy during the project’s launch phase.
It is worth adding that our work also included multi-currency support, address management, order processing, and payment integrations with PayPal and Klarna.
